The Sportif is designed for those riders looking to tackle their first Sportive, with its lightweight alloy Dynamism frame, carbon fork and full Shimano groupset the Sportif will tackle almost anything you throw at it. The Sportif is also fitted with mudguard eyes allowing you to fit a set of mudguards which then turns the Sportif into an excellent commuter bike.

About Sportive Bikes

Sportive riders are increasingly on the rise around the UK. Sportive's are usually around 70 to 100 miles in distance and consist of long climbs, fast descents and strenuous flats. This is why Dawes have introduced the Sportif range. These bike sare designed specifically to suit the demands of a Sportive rider, meaning they have all the features of a race bike but with some of the geometry and gearing adjustments to aid comfort and climbing.

• Saddle
  The saddle is a road specific saddle to allow maximum comfort and the best pedalling motion.
• Geometry
  Geometry is tweaked to make for more comfort on long rides. The main feature is a longer head tube to allow for a slightly more upright position to ease back pain.
• Gearing
  Gearing is chosen carefully to ensure it is low enough for hill climbing but high enough to pick up speed on the descents. Better ratios mean faster times.
